Label This Ewer and stand forms a companion set to the Norman Conquest vases, made a little later in the same year. The subject on the ewer is 'The Marriage of Harold and Aldyth' and those on the stand include the Death of King Harold' with an arrow in his eye. Enamelled in white by Thomas Bott to commemorate the 800th anniversary of the Battle of Hastings.
Description Ewer with gold handle and underglaze blue ground decorated in white enamels. Circular stand on high foot.
