Label The shell and coral frame of this ornate tray by the Chamberlain factory interestingly encloses an early design for the Houses of Parliament, that was illustrated in the 1843 September issue of the Art Union. Eventually this design was rejected in favour of Alfred Barry's Gothic Palace of Westminster that stands today.
Description Oblong card tray with 3 dimensional modelled shell border decorated in full colour framing a central painted scene of the proposed Houses of Parliament. Handle projects at each end.
